From Spokane Falls and Riverfront Park to historic neighborhoods, museums, and gardens, Spokane offered far more variety than we expected. The summer heat shaped our itinerary, but the city still packed plenty into a short visit.

Manito Park is a large public park south of downtown with formal gardens, lawns, conservatory displays, and shaded picnic areas. We kept our visit brief because of the heat but still found resident marmots near the park roads.
Frank's Diner operates inside a restored 1906 railroad car. The compact dining room preserves the railcar character while serving as one of Spokane's recognizable local breakfast and dinner stops.
Riverfront Park occupies the downtown riverfront around Spokane Falls. Walking paths connect the falls, the historic Looff Carousel, public art, and the Numerica SkyRide, which crosses above the river for elevated waterfall views.
The Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture covers regional art, Indigenous culture, and Inland Northwest history through changing exhibitions. Admission also includes the neighboring Campbell House, a preserved 1898 home.
