Colorado Springs became one of the few places we visited twice during the trip. In May, we explored Garden of the Gods and Seven Falls while using Norris Penrose as our home base. When we returned in September, the stop was focused on family, a return visit to Garden of the Gods, and a monster truck show at Norris Penrose.

Garden of the Gods is Colorado Springs' signature red-rock park, with towering sandstone formations, paved walking trails, dramatic viewpoints, and visitor center exhibits tied to the area's geology and history.
The Broadmoor Seven Falls is a series of seven cascades in a narrow canyon, reached by a paved approach and steep stair climbs that lead to overlooks, upper trails, and Inspiration Point.
Norris Penrose served as our Colorado Springs home base in May, with campground access, horse stables, nearby Seven Falls shuttle service, and a surprise Touch A Truck event.
