Destination Guide

Why This Stop Matters

Cedar Breaks ended up being one of those flexible-roadtrip wins. We broke up the drive there at a quick park visit in Milford, UT, lucked into the last RV-sized campsite at Cedar Canyon Campground, then got a full high-country sampler of overlooks, bristlecones, and one unforgettable night sky.

Best for

Big canyon views, bristlecone pines, and dark-sky nights without Bryce-level crowds.

Trip vibe

A high-elevation scenic stop that feels easygoing by day and quietly spectacular by sunset.

What surprised us

How much was packed into one stop: geology, birds, ancient trees, and a Milky Way night.

Milford Historic Park

Milford Historic Park gave us a stretch-your-legs stop with railroad relics, mining history, and just enough small-town weirdness to make the drive into Utah more memorable.
